Coordinators’ Meeting with Students

A meeting was held between the MYP Coordinator and MYP students to discuss important aspects of the programme and to support students in understanding the key elements of learning within the IB MYP framework.
During the meeting, special attention was given to students who recently joined the programme. The coordinator provided an overview of the IB MYP structure, explaining its philosophy, learning approach, and expectations. This helped new students better understand how the programme supports the development of critical thinking, inquiry, and independent learning.
The discussion also focused on academic integrity, emphasizing the importance of honesty, responsibility, and proper acknowledgment of sources in all academic work. Students were reminded about the school’s expectations regarding plagiarism and responsible use of information.
In addition, the coordinator explained the role of Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, highlighting how communication, collaboration, research, thinking, and self-management skills support students’ success across all subjects.
Another important part of the meeting was the discussion of projects and interdisciplinary learning, where students were encouraged to actively participate, manage their time effectively, and demonstrate creativity and inquiry in their work.
Following the first semester, the meeting also addressed students’ academic progress and reflections on their learning experience. Students were encouraged to review their achievements, identify areas for improvement, and set goals for the upcoming semester.
